Week 2 Term 1

Thank you to all the parents who have returned the permission form for our blog.  We still have four outstanding notes.  I will send a second copy of this to these families in case you have lost the previous note.

Many families sent in ear buds as requested today.  If everyone can have them by the beginning of week 3 this would be great because we will begin work on our computers and other devices then.

The children attended Art lessons today and only one had an art shirt.  We borrowed some from Year 3 for today's lesson.  Unfortunately there were not enough to cover all the children.  Please send one before next Monday's lesson.

I will be attending an inservice tomorrow from 12 and Ms Brustolin will teach the children in my absence.

It was our first swimming lesson today.  The children did a great job of independently dressing for the lesson.  Unfortunately 9 children were missing items needed (mostly thongs).  Ms Brustolin told me they had a lot of fun in the water and everyone gave it their best shot.

The children have been working hard and learning the routines in our classroom.

We were treated to a free show about endangered Australian animals today.  It was very funny and taught the children 3 ways to help our animals in danger.  Maybe your child can remember how to help the dugong, cassowary and bilby.

On Wednesday we visited the Life Education Van.  The children learnt lots of interesting facts about their bodies.  Your child may remember how big their heart and brain are.  At the end everyone had a little pat of Harold.
